– Race experience
Competing in One Water Race 2025 showed me what is required to be successful in this race and I would love the chance to come back and put into practice everything I learned from the mistakes we made in OWR 2025.
– Why do you want to participate in One Water Race?
When I entered in 2024, I had never before entered a race I wasn’t certain I could finish. Over the course of that year’s preparation, my perspective changed and going into the race in 2025 I felt like I had the physical capacity to complete this race. Due to how the race turned out for the team, I felt like I never really got a chance to push anywhere close to my capacity, either physically or mentally and in the hours after the 2025 race, I immediately knew I wanted to come back – and this time put it all out there on the archipelago. I loved the whole race experience – overcoming challenges, whatever they may be, with your teammates and sharing time with all the amazing people involved in OWR is something very special.
– Have you taken a similar challenge before?
One Water Race 2025.
– What are your strengths?
Swimming is my main strength. That and my ability to operate comfortably in cold conditions. Based on my experience from OWR 2025 I would say that in race conditions I am good at keeping a calm head, remaining positive and always looking forward.
– What are your weaknesses?
As an athlete, I run very warm and struggle to operate at my best when I overheat.
– What would be your biggest challenges in this race?
Trying to keep a relatively constant body temperature when being exposed to potentially cold waters and trying to move fast on land.
– Have you been to the Stockholm archipelago and what do you know/think about the terrain?
I have been to the archipelago many times over the years. I raced the World Championships in 2019, 2022 and 2023, ÖtillÖ Utö in 2025 and OWR 2025. For me, it is a place like no other, where you get to experience nature at its very best.
– What are you most looking forward to, if you would participate in One Water Race?
There are so many aspects of this race that make it special. The place, the people… But what I am most looking forward to is taking on the very heart of this race with my super strong teammates and seeing what we can achieve.
