– Why do you want participate in One Water Race?

The OWR is the ultimate race and challenge, and a dream for the last couple of years. To experience the beauty of the Stockholm archipelago in a race setting that never existed before is an interesting and attractive combination that motivates every one of us to test our limits.

– Which strengths make your team capable of succeeding in a race like this?

Our team’s strengths lie in our diverse skills and experiences. Kayla’s physical prowess in swimming and running, combined with her positive attitude, makes her our powerhouse in the team. Chris’s swimming strength and comfort in cold conditions are significant advantages. Angelus’s strong mindset and experience in multi-day events will help drive the team forward strategically. Vincent brings deep adventure racing experience, having led navigation in demanding 100-hour events across Europe, Africa, and South America. His calm decision making under pressure and proven ability to race through long, technical sections add stability to the team. Two previous One Water Races have sharpened his approach, giving us a stronger, seasoned navigator. Together, we’ve learned from our combined past experiences and are better prepared to tackle the challenges of the Stockholm archipelago.

– What are your weaknesses or areas of concern in this type of challenge?

The combination of sleep deprivation, the cold and the foreign terrain. We will need to train specifically to tackle all of these aspects. That’s why we planned different training camps locally and in the archipelago to have the routines and processes set and know how to counteract accordingly when challenges occur.

– What goals does your team have for participating in One Water Race?

Our ultimate team goal is to finish the race! We know that’s not going to be easy but with our constellation we are the right team to reach Landsort.

– Have you raced together as a team before? If yes, in what races?

Vincent raced with Kayla and Angelus. We have a big training in the archipelago planned to get the processes right.

– Is there anything else you would like to share?

We’ve agreed that we would only return if we are with teammates fully committed to reaching Landsort. Our motivation is high, and we’re ready to give everything we have to make it happen.
