The Night Comes Earlier

For the first time, One Water Race will start in the evening.

One Water Race 2026 starts with darkness ahead.

The race will start at 4 PM CET, sending teams into the Stockholm Archipelago with the first night approaching much sooner than before.

This isn’t just a new start time. It changes the rhythm of the race.

With less daylight available, teams will face one of the most demanding aspects of One Water Race much earlier: the night.

Darkness makes navigation harder. Decisions become more critical. Fatigue arrives sooner.

The challenge begins almost immediately.

In a race where endurance, teamwork and resilience are constantly tested, the earlier arrival of darkness adds a new dimension to the experience. Teams will need to adapt their strategies, manage their energy differently and prepare for a longer journey through the night.

The arena remains the same.

The challenge does not.

Race Start: Aug 17, 4 PM CET
