– What other experiences do you have that demonstrates your competence and ability to complete One Water Race?
Trained Ship officer with experience in radar and night navigation.
Worked in the Stockholm archipelago.
– Why do you want to participate in One Water Race?
Participated in OWR 23 and it was so close that we reached the finish line at Landsort. I want to come back to improve our performance. This year we don't just want to finish, we also want to be first team at Landsort.
– Have you taken a similar challenge before?
Yes OWR 23 and several long distance adventure races.
– What are your strengths?
Logistics and navigation. Reading my teammates to understand what they need and how to plan the navigation for them. Keeping the team at the right mood, pushing them when needed and lifting them up when needed.
– What are your weaknesses?
Last year I was worried about the lack of sleep but it turned out I could handle it well. A weakness could be that I myself am a bad swimmer.
– What would be your biggest challenges in this race?
Navigation during the dark periods will be the key in this race, and ensure that the team is constantly moving forward.
– Have you been to the Stockholm archipelago and what do you know/think about the terrain?
I am very familiar with the area and the terrain, It will be very demanding.
– What are you most looking forward to, if you would participate in One Water Race?
Now that we have been in the competition once, I really see that we will perform much better this time. We learned an incredible amount from the last competition that we put into evolving and we will stand on the starting line to get to Landsort first.
