About

Team 7 – SWEDEN

Unfinished business brings this Swedish team back to the One Water Race start line. After two determined attempts in 2024 and 2025, both ending deep into the race, they return with one clear objective: turning hard-earned experience into a finish at the lighthouse in Landsort.

Having already spent nearly two full days racing through the archipelago in previous editions, the team knows just how unforgiving the course can be. Strong swimming, relentless endurance, improving navigation, and a support crew keeping a close eye on tactics, energy, and morale give them a solid foundation for another attempt.

With a team built on close friendships, family ties, and years of racing together, they understand how to push through the highs and lows of a race that tests both body and mind.

– Why do you want participate in One Water Race?

If we get accepted for OWR 2026 it will be three times a charm and we strongly believe we are one of the few teams who have what it takes in terms of proven experience, grit and preparations to make it all the way to the famous door at Landsort.

– Which strengths make your team capable of succeeding in a race like this?

We have done this race twice before and learnt a tremendous amount. The race is very unforgiving and previous experience has shown to be a key factor to a successful race. We also have the added advantage of knowing each other really well as we in our team have both a married couple, colleagues and close friends. Experience of racing together for long durations is also key as you will go through many phases and might not always be the best version of yourself. Knowing also this side of all team members gives an advantage when things get tough!

– What are your weaknesses or areas of concern in this type of challenge?

38h in OWR 2024 and 40 hours in OWR 2025, however we felt really strong just before we ran into issues and had to abandon the race very abruptly. We felt we were in a position that we would be able to keep going for the full 60 hours.

– What goals does your team have for participating in One Water Race?

Make it all the way to the lighthouse in Landsort showing that we have learned from our experiences from previous years. We are now ready to make it all the way and fight for a spot on the podium! We are also true believers that you can race hard while still having fun along the way and a part of this is to share our experiences with the audience during the race both good and bad!

– Have you raced together as a team before? If yes, in what races?

Yes, during OWR 2024 and 2025.

– Is there anything else you would like to share?

OWR 2026 – let’s bring it on!
