Q&A
– What other experiences do you have that demonstrates your competence and ability to complete One Water Race?
Has a long and wide experience of both swimrun and multi-day expedition races. Have been racing in various conditions from cold to heat, high altitude and challenging nature such as jungle and wetland. Learned through all races to take care of myself and my team.
– Why do you want to participate in One Water Race?
I was from the start drawn to this race, combining my two favorite things, swimrun and multi-day racing. The course itself, the nature of the archipelago and most of all this incredible dream team we've put together is my biggest why and what will drive me at the toughest hours.
Only when racing this long and hard you get as connected to nature, your team and yourself.
– Have you taken a similar challenge before?
I've taken on 15 races of 24h-11days with success. Did my first adventure race in 2015 in Chile and instantly felt I've found my thing.
In 2018 as a part of Nordic Islands Adventure Race we did a 84k swimrun stage overnight.
2023 will be my 10th year in Swimrun.
– What are your strengths?
I truly believe in everyone of us and us as a team, no doubt we’ll make it and this I’ll bring to the team at all points.
I’m ready to suffer and I know what it’s like, when it’s tough I grow stronger because I really enjoy a true challenge from nature and elements.
I have experience of long racing and anything that can and will happen and then I know to take action and prevail.
– What are your weaknesses?
Speed, I can go on for a long time but I’ll have to work hard and also rely on the team for when the speed is higher.
– What would be your biggest challenges in this race?
To apply my experience to these new circumstances and to share and help the team as much as possible. To give us as ONE Team the advantage it could be to bring a lot of experience.
– Have you been to the Stockholm archipelago and what do you know/think about the terrain?
Long experience of swimrunning in the archipelago both from racing and training over the years. I simply love this terrain, the rocks, the trails and off-trails as well.
– What are you most looking forward to, if you would participate in One Water Race?
The full focus you have to bring to a challenge like this, from now all the way to Landsort. The laughter and the sharing of hard times, and all the preparations and training sessions together.
