Q&A
– What other experiences do you have that demonstrates your competence and ability to complete One Water Race?
With 30 years of endurance sports on bike, XC-skiing, running, ski mountaineering and soon 10y of swimrun have made me love long races. The longer, higher and trickier terrain, the better. Love rocks, bumpy waters, altitude and terrible terrain!
– Why do you want to participate in One Water Race?
Passionate for Nature and being in the middle of it! The race brings two worlds together that I love and build my life around; the fight for climate and nature on both private and professional level as well as nature race challenges that pushes team limits to the extreme. To connect the swimrun-love of my family (“Swimrunfamiljen”) and promote movement and being outdoor.
– Have you taken a similar challenge before?
Did my first multi-day RAID-challenges when I lived in France 20 years ago and loved it! Have continued pursuing ultra running, skyraces and long swimruns. Being in the first team that completed the long 115 km Immeln Ultra challenge over one day in 2021.
– What are your strengths?
The positive attitude, the team performance focus, the joy of being in nature and never giving up.
– What are your weaknesses?
Lack of 48h+ consecutive swimrun experience. Keen to get it!
– What would be your biggest challenges in this race?
Keeping up the speed over a long race.
– Have you been to the Stockholm archipelago and what do you know/think about the terrain?
After many Swimrun races over the last 10 years and 5 ÖtillÖ-races I have learned that Swimrun is the best way to experience Nature. The opportunity for going point-to-point in the archipelago is mindblowing. Also doing most of my training in the Archipelago between Trosa and Nyköping on long swimrun safaris.
– What are you most looking forward to, if you would participate in One Water Race?
Being out there in nature, together, for a long time.
