One Water Race is a professional race created for the world’s top endurance racers as an opportunity to compete against the best in the world, in a unique format and context.
We call it “The Ultimate Proof of Human Capacity”. It’s the human body against nature, demonstrating the strength that we possess as a proof of the seemingly impossible challenges we take on.
The ultimate proof of how we as humans can train our body to constantly move forward, by running and swimming nonstop. The ultimate proof of how we can train our body to handle the distance, of how we can mentally prepare and train ourselves to deal with the psychological challenges of extreme distance over time, and the ultimate proof of how we can embrace nature to find the most efficient and fastest way forward.
One Water Race strives to always represent just that, The Ultimate Proof of Human Capacity. We will always strive to put ourselves and our racers head-to-head with the ultimate challenge, and ultimately challenge what seems impossible.
In August 2022, Team 4 Sweden/Australia managed to get from Arholma to Landsort in 47 hours without sleep or rest. In August 2023, Team 2 Australia as the only finishing team, reached the lighthouse just under 60 hours. They covered a distance of over 250 km, 200 km running and 50 km swimming.
Again, One Water Race 2024 will be a completely new race, a new course length and with unknown weather and wind conditions. All in our quest to achieve The Ultimate Proof of Human Capacity.
