Are you an ultra runner with a love for wild nature, real stories, and meaningful challenges? One Water Race is looking for exceptional endurance athletes to join our crew as Media Runners – a vital role in one of the world’s most extreme and visually stunning endurance races.
What is a Media Runner?
As a Media Runner, you will follow one of the competing teams throughout the course – day and night – capturing their journey with camera equipment and live-streaming gear. You’ll work in close contact with our editorial team to ensure immersive and authentic coverage of the race.
Some Media Runners will also appear on camera as field reporters, offering live updates from the course. If you’re comfortable in front of the camera and fluent in both Swedish and English, you’re who we’re looking for.
What we’re looking for:
- Exceptional physical endurance – able to run 10–12 hours in rugged terrain, repeatedly across 50–60 hours.
- Experience in ultra running, trail running, or swimrun.
- Confidence on camera (for those assigned reporting roles).
- Fluency in Swedish and English
- Team spirit, initiative, and a problem-solving mindset.
- A love for nature, storytelling, and unusual challenges.

To help you stay sharp and energized throughout the race, all Media Runners are proudly fueled by Maurten. You’ll be provided with gels and drink mix to support your performance during long shifts on foot – because telling the story requires just as much endurance as running it.
