Merits
- 2024 OWR 38h racing time
- 2023 OWR 63h racing time, 15 km from the lighthouse
- Participated in 2 seasons of Raid Series in Adventure Racing 2 times Swedish Champion in Ski Orienteering
– Why do you want to participate in One Water Race?
For OWR 25 we bring all the experience from previous years and try to develop our weaknesses so that we can finally reach the lighthouse at Landsort for the third time trying. I also really like the sense of community that the race has, that we´re all doing this together, before, during and after the race and both racers and crew.
– Have you taken a similar challenge before?
OWR 24, OWR 23, several long distance adventure races.
– What are your strengths?
With experiences from two previous OWRs, I feel even more confident in my skills for this type of competition, making the right route decisions with changing conditions and status of the team. I’m good at turning any bad feelings in the team around and making them let go and look forward. I really like the strategy part of this race and this is something we will develop further.
– What are your weaknesses?
Last year I was worried about the lack of sleep but it turned out I could handle it well. A weakness could be that I myself am bad at swimming.
– What would be your biggest challenges in this race?
With experience from previous years, both I and the team know that this is a strategy competition. A challenge is to keep communication with the team and always have a good sense of how they are feeling.
– Have you been to the Stockholm archipelago and what do you know/think about the terrain?
I am very familiar with the area and terrain, it will be very demanding.
– What are you most looking forward to, if you would participate in One Water Race?
Now that we have been in the competition twice, I really see that we will perform much better this time. We learned an incredible amount from the last competition and we will stand on the starting line even more prepared. Looking towards 2025, my respect for the competition has grown, but I also feel that experience-wise we are even more prepared.
