Q&A
– Why do you want to participate?
The archipelago in Stockholm is amazing and the perfect environment for an epic adventure. I’m not a swimmer so when i got asked to be team captain I saw my chance to still be a part of this race and help my team.
– Have you taken a similar challenge before?
I have been doing adventure racing since 2010 but never any swimrun.
– What are your strengths?
Navigation and organisation.
– What are your weaknesses?
I’m more used to race in events rather than being a team captain. But hopefully that will help me to understand what the team needs to keep going even when it gets tough.
– What will be your biggest challenge?
To keep the team well fed, happy and moving towards Landsort.
– Have you been to the Stockholm archipelago?
I have done many sea kayak trips in the archipelago and all of them have included navigation.
– What do you know/think about the terrain?
It can be tricky to navigate at night when the visibility is bad. All islands tend to look the same in the dark.
