– Why do you want to participate in One Water Race?

I want to participate in One Water Race because it’s a fantastic race that is very well organized. The course offers many challenges and I like that it’s an A-to-B course where we cover a long distance in the outer archipelago. It’s a demanding race that requires the ability to handle many skills like navigation, teamwork and multi-day strategy.

– Have you taken a similar challenge before?

Yes, I have taken a similar challenge before. I have participated in One Water Race in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

– What are your strengths?

My strengths are orienteering and navigation so I hope my navigation skills will contribute to the team performance. Also I like to race in a team and have a mindset for team work that can contribute and make our team competitive as well.

– What are your weaknesses?

It depends on whom one compares oneself with. But I will try to have my weaknesses covered up by the strengths of my teammates.

– What would be your biggest challenges in this race?

Just to swim and run between Arholma and Landsort is a huge challenge in itself. There are many who can do it if they have plenty of time and no stress, but this is a race and many teams want to win it so trying to be first team reaching Landsort in this race is the biggest challenge.

– Have you been to the Stockholm archipelago and what do you know/think about the terrain?

I have been to the Stockholm archipelago and it’s fantastic but it can also be very tricky at some places. The water is brackish and not as salty as in the big oceans. There are no dangerous animals to be afraid of but there are a lot of ‘holiday skippers’ to look out for.

– What are you most looking forward to, if you would participate in One Water Race?

If I get the opportunity to participate in One Water Race in 2025 I am looking forward to the whole journey with training and preparation leading up to the race. I will really enjoy it as much as I can.
