Q&A
– What other experiences do you have that demonstrates your competence and ability to complete One Water Race?
OWR 2023
OWR 2022
ÖtillÖ 9 times
ARWC 4 times
– Why do you want to participate in One Water Race?
It’s a fantastic race that is very well organized. The course offers many challenges and I like that it’s an A-to-B course where we cover a long distance in the outer archipelago. It’s a demanding race that require the ability to handle many skills like navigation, team work and multi day strategy.
– Have you taken a similar challenge before?
Yes, we did OWR 2022 and 2023.
– What are your strengths?
I hope my navigation skills and mindset for team work will contribute and make our team competitive.
– What are your weaknesses?
It depends on whom one compares with, but I try to have mine covered up by the strengths of my teammates.
– What would be your biggest challenges in this race?
The very long swim distances.
– Have you been to the Stockholm archipelago and what do you know/think about the terrain?
It's fantastic but it can be very tricky at some places. The water is brackish and not as salty as in the big oceans. There are no dangerous animals to be afraid of but there are a lot of ‘holiday skippers’ to look out for.
– What are you most looking forward to, if you would participate in One Water Race?
The whole journey with training and preparation leading up to the race. I will really enjoy it as much as I can.
