Q&A
– Why do you want to participate in One Water Race?
It's a race where I hope to get use of my earlier race experiences as an adventure racer and navigator.
– Have you taken a similar challenge before?
Adventure racing is similar in terms of the distance, non stop challenge and the navigation. But the long swim distance will be new for me.
– What are your strengths?
I hope my navigation skills and mindset for team work will contribute and make our team competitive.
– What will be your biggest challenge?
Don't know yet, but I better prepare for the very long swim distance.
– Have you been to the Stockholm archipelago?
I’ve been racing there before and at different places.
– What do you know/think about the terrain?
It's fantastic but it can be very tricky at some places.
Mostly the running is easy but it can be very tricky at some places. The water is brackish and not as salty as in the big oceans. There are no dangerous animals to be affraid of but there are a lot of ‘holiday skippers’ to look out for.
– What are you most looking forward to?
The whole journey with training and preparation before the race. I will enjoy it as much as I can. Because at the race I'm prepared to suffer.
