One Water Race is a professional competition designed for the world’s top endurance athletes, offering a unique opportunity to compete against the very best in an extraordinary format and setting.
We call it “The Ultimate Proof of Human Capacity.” It’s the human body against nature, a powerful demonstration of the strength we possess when we tackle seemingly impossible challenges.
This race stands as the ultimate proof of how we can train our bodies to keep moving forward—running and swimming nonstop. It is proof of how we can condition ourselves to endure vast distances, mentally prepare to face the psychological challenges of extreme endurance over time, and embrace nature to find the most efficient and fastest path forward.
One Water Race is committed to always representing this: The Ultimate Proof of Human Capacity. We will continue to push ourselves and our racers to face the most extreme challenges, ultimately testing what seems impossible.
In August 2022, Team 4 Sweden/Australia completed the journey from Arholma to Landsort in 47 hours without sleep or rest. In August 2023, Team 2 Australia, as the only team to finish, reached the lighthouse in just under 60 hours. In August 2024, Team 6 Swe/Aus (formerly Team 4 from 2022) was once again the first team to reach the lighthouse in 50 hours and 23 minutes.
One Water Race 2025 will be a completely new race with a different course length, unknown checkpoints, and unpredictable weather and wind conditions. All in our quest to continue achieving The Ultimate Proof of Human Capacity.
